- After a long day at school, 4th of July ended up being a lot of fun for us. We went to two bars and hung out with new Turkish friends :)
- I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to understand how the traffic signals/walk signs work
- I have a pretty cool professor for hydrology but my transportation class is now only 10% English. But it's okay because we still think we know what's going on and friends of ours our more than willing to help translate
- I really wish I would've learned more Turkish before I came here
- My new roommate, Agne from Lithuania moved in and she's pretty cool
- We found out that one of the Ryans in our group has a huge fear of orangutans
- Some of the Turkish guys asked to play soccer (futbol) with us so they reserved a nice soccer field to play from 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday night.
- We have a cleaning lady coming in tomorrow to clean our apartments and we all find that quite odd. I think we need to talk to our apartments back home and convince them to make some changes
- Planning on shopping for a bit tomorrow, going to transportation, getting our phone situation figured out then out to celebrate my birthday
I feel like I've said this a lot but it's been a blast so far! We've loved learning more about the culture here and it's also been great getting to know the people in my group. We've had a ton of fun and have laughed a lot and I'm incredibly thankful for being able to share this trip with such nice people :)
At Los Amigos
